Mitchell Laframboise: A Journey of Service, Technology, and Community Impact

Mitchell Laframboise was born in Windsor, Ontario, and has led a life defined by a dedication to service, a passion for technology, and a commitment to uplifting others. As a teenager, Mitchell attended St. Clair College, graduating with a diploma in General Arts and Science. His journey of service began in March 2003 when he joined the Canadian Armed Forces, where he served as a supply technician in the regular force. After a decade of commitment to his country, Mitchell was honorably released from the military in June 2013.

Transitioning to civilian life, Mitchell pursued further education at Trios College, earning a diploma as an IT Professional, a step that marked the beginning of his venture into the world of technology. In January 2022, he opened his own Managed Service Provider (MSP) business, which he ran until recent challenges with high expenses led to its closure. However, this setback did not deter him; it fueled his desire to make a meaningful impact on his community through technology.

In 2024, Mitchell completed a Cyber Architect program at the University of Ottawa, further honing his expertise in cybersecurity. His passion for technology and a strong sense of social responsibility led to the creation of a new non-profit initiative: Razzberry’s Tech Services Inc. Officially incorporated on August 6, 2024, the organization is set to launch in January 2025. The mission of Razzberry’s Tech Services Inc. is clear—to provide affordable and accessible technology support to underserved communities, educate individuals and organizations about technology, offer free or low-cost tech services to non-profits and small businesses, and promote digital literacy to bridge the digital divide.

Mitchell’s vision for Razzberry’s Tech Services Inc. involves a unique blend of hands-on technical support, computer literacy training, cybersecurity workshops, and a tech donation program aimed at refurbishing and distributing used technology to those in need. The organization plans to serve the St. Thomas, Middlesex, Elgin, and Oxford counties, operating out of a physical office based at his home.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mitchell’s personal life reflects his deep commitment to family and community. He met his wife, Sherry, in 2008, and the two were married on October 12, 2013. Together, they have a blended family, including his son, Connor, born in June 2004, and his stepdaughter, Ashley, born in April 1998.

Mitchell’s leadership extends beyond his family and professional endeavors. He has gathered a dedicated team of volunteers to support Razzberry’s Tech Services Inc., including Cory Dibowski as Director of Marketing and Communications, Linda Anderson as Director of Volunteer Services and Treasurer, Ashley Newton as Director of Education and Training and Community Engagement, and John Armand as Director of Development. As the Executive Director, Mitchell wears multiple hats, overseeing operations and technology while steering the organization toward its mission of making technology accessible and understandable for all.

Mitchell Laframboise’s story is one of resilience, continuous learning, and unwavering dedication to service. His journey from military service to becoming a community-driven technology advocate reflects his belief in using his skills and experience to create positive change. As he embarks on this new chapter with Razzberry’s Tech Services Inc., Mitchell remains committed to bridging the digital divide and empowering others through technology.
